Coronado Concrete & Masonry was founded in 2016 by tradespeople who grew up working with concrete and stone and wanted to build something of their own in Coronado, CA. Coronado is a small, tight-knit community where word travels fast and reputation is everything. That reality has shaped how the business operates from the start.
The island presents its own challenges. Salt air off the Pacific breaks down mortar and concrete faster than it would a few miles inland. Many homes were built in the mid-1900s and have foundations, chimneys, and masonry that need a careful hand, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Learning to work well in that environment took time, and that knowledge goes into every estimate and every project.
Today, Coronado Concrete & Masonry serves homeowners and property owners across 12 communities in the greater San Diego area, from Coronado and Chula Vista to La Mesa, El Cajon, and Poway. Most work still comes through referrals, and the goal is to keep it that way. Reach out if you have a project in mind.
Every job gets the same level of care regardless of size. We use proper materials, take time to prep correctly, and do not cut corners that will show up as problems a year later.
We tell you what we found, what we recommend, and what it costs before any work starts. No surprises on the invoice and no upsells you did not ask for.
If your project needs something different than what you asked for, we will tell you. If the work can wait, we will say so. We would rather be the contractor you call back than the one you warn neighbors about.
Masonry is visible work. It sits on your home for decades. We hold our finish quality to a standard we are comfortable putting our name behind.
Licensed by the California Contractors State License Board as a masonry contractor. Licensing is verified by the state and required for all structural masonry work in California.
General liability insurance and workers compensation coverage protect you and your property on every job. We carry current certificates and provide them on request before work begins.
Active in the greater San Diego region for nearly a decade. We know the local permitting process, HOA requirements, and coastal conditions that affect masonry work here.
